Pitt Football Announces Initial Home Game Promotions for 2025 Season

PITTSBURGH — With the 2025 Pitt Football season quickly approaching, the Panthers are excited to unveil promotional details for the first two home games at Acrisure Stadium: Pittsburgh Day on Saturday, Aug. 30 vs. Duquesne and Kids Day on Saturday, Sept. 6 vs. Central Michigan.

Fans can expect an engaging and family-friendly start to the season with game themes that celebrate Pittsburgh and create memorable experiences for our young Panther fans.

Pittsburgh Day — Aug. 30 at Noon vs. Duquesne

The season opener will proudly showcase all things Pittsburgh, with Acrisure Stadium transformed into a Steel City celebration of local pride and tradition.

Fans can look forward to:

  • special Pittsburgh Day rally towel giveaway.
  • Mascot Mania featuring appearances from beloved Pittsburgh mascots before and during the game.
  • The 35th Annual Rib Fest on Art Rooney Avenue before kickoff.
  • In-game music from Pittsburgh-based artists.
  • Pittsburgh-themed trivia on the video board.
  • Additional themed videos and contests throughout the game.
  • Fans should also stay tuned for exclusive 412-themed ticket deals that will be released in the lead up to the season.

Kids Day — Sept. 6 at Noon vs. Central Michigan

The following week, Pitt Football will turn the spotlight to its youngest fans with Kids Day, a one-of-a-kind opportunity for children to be a part of the gameday action:

Kids will have the chance to:

  • Watch the game from the sidelines.
  • Be on camera as the Kid In-Game Host.
  • Be a Kid DJ in the Panther Pitt.
  • Serve as a Kid PA announcer and more!

Starting the week of June 23, Pitt Athletics will launch an interest form via email and social media for parents to sign up their children for a chance to win one of the exclusive Kids Day experiences. Winners will be selected and contacted with coordination details. Please note: tickets are required for participation and may be purchased after winners are confirmed.

In addition, Family 4 Packs will be available starting July 1, offering an affordable way for families to enjoy the day together:

  • Upper Corner Seating: Four or more tickets for $10 each
  • Lower Endzone Seating: Four or more tickets for $20 each
  • Both packages include exclusive merchandise discounts.
