16 Bison Named to the 2026 NFF Hampshire Honors Society

IRVING, Texas – The National Football Foundation (NFF) uncovered its 2026 Hampshire Honors Society members where Howard University saw 16 Bison selected. The announcement came Wednesday morning.

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society comprises of college football student-athletes from all divisions (NCAA, NAIA and sprint football) who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade-point-average (GPA) or better through their collegiate careers.

Among the honorees included Chimidiya Aniyam (Largo, Nigeria), Michel Bergeron (Burlington, Vt.), Keenan Fortenberry (Philadelphia), Ibrahim Giwa (Clarksburg, Md.), Kedrick Green (Winston-Salem, N.C.), Bryce Hall (Southfield, Mich.), Derrick Hartley Jr. (Jacksonville, Fla.), Sam Hill (Waynesboro, Ga.), Eden James (Port St. Lucie, Fla.), Bryce Leos (Pell City, La.), Judah McJimpsey (Spartanburg, S.C.), Sean Mitchell (Decatur, Ga.), Keion Mitchell (Framingham, Mass.), Suubi Mutebi (Lawrenceville, Ga.), J. Augustus Olidge (Atlanta) and Xavier Ricks (Walkersville, Md.).

This year, 2,596 student-athletes from 365 institutions qualified for membership, a new record and largest class in the program’s 20-year history. Since its inception, the initiative has honored 23,568 student-athletes.

On Aug. 29, HU takes on Alabama A&M in the annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta.
