It’s Museum Monday and we’re at the Oakland Museum of California (@oaklandmuseumca)! This museum is located next to the city’s scenic Lake Merritt and houses artwork, artifacts, and natural elements to celebrate California’s art, history, and natural environment. On display until October 18th is the first major museum exhibition for Bay Area artist Mildred Howard. “Poetics of Memory brings together her renowned collages, found-object sculptures, and immersive installations that explore memory, identity, and the African American experience.”
