The North Carolina A&T Aggies successfully defended their title completing  a three peat in 2019. The Black College National Champions finished the season with  9 wins  and 3 losses; But what Coach Sam Washington neglected to let all opponents know is that he had a  “Bo Jackson ” clone  in his backfield.  The Red-Shirt Junior from Conway South Carolina was Jah-Maine Martin who ran over Aggie opponents on his way to over 1,400 yards and 23 touchdowns.Martin rushed for 110 yards and 2 Tds  helping the Blue and Gold dominate Alcorn State in their 64-44 Celebration Bowl victory to place the cherry on top of that triple crown.

The young man from Conway  had four  games this season in which he scored 3 touchdowns or more  (Delta State on 09/26/19, Norfolk State on 10/5/19, Howard on 10/26/19 and Bethune Cookman on 11/16/19). The biggie for  #30 was the 299 yards he rushed for against Charleston Southern, while toting the rock 25 times and going to the house 2 times while averaging 12 yards per carry.

That is impressive, but young Jah had more; in the  month of October against Norfolk State he averaged a whopping 19.9 yards per carry and finished with 199 yards. Then later in the month he ran through the Bison of Howard for 138 yards on only 7 carries. That is  19.7 yards per carry, not to mention he had 3 touchdowns. Ja was an intricate part of the Aggie machine that captured the Urban Media Today Black College National Championship for a third straight year.
