During the month of February, (Black History Month) members of the All-American team will be featured on the UrbanmediaToday.com website daily. Today we put the spot light on:

North Carolina A&T  State’s Marcus Pettiford: (Offensive Line)

#73  (Senior)
6’4″  286lbs
Durham, N.C.
(Hill Side High School)

2019 First Team All -MEAC Conference Team
2019 MEAC Offensive lineman of the Year

Aggie  Head Coach Sam Washington had to be all smiles when he looked at his offensive lineman Marcus Pettiford. The 6’4″ lineman continued the tradition of big men on the front Line with NFL Potential.

The MEAC offensive lineman of the year and the rest of the Aggie offensive front were key in  an offensive attack that averaged 38 points per game. The veteran was also a major part  of the pass protection allowing A&T to put up 2,498 yards; Not to mention he was also one of the key blockers creating holes for a ground game that churned out 2864 yards (12th in all of FCS Football). Marcus and the offensive front made it possible for the National Black College Champion Aggies to put up 446 yards of Total offense per game. Oh and by the way, A&T also scored 55 touchdowns.

The big man from Durham played 521 snaps in total this past season and executed 27 knock down blocks which helped him to grade out 88 percent. Now that is impressive ,but what is even more impressive is how Mr. Pettiford kept his cool and displayed his focus this past season. He only had one flag  and only missed 5 assignments.

The Durham native with his leadership and experience was most definitely instrumental in helping North Carolina A&T finish the 2019 season 9-3  completing an Aggie Three-peat finishing on top of  The Final 2019 Urban Media Today Black College Football Poll.
