“Dustin was dominant in the box this season and was an elite tackler! His work ethics made him one of the best in the country” That is how West Virginia State Head Coach John Pennington feels about his All-American Linebacker Dustin Crouser. The 6’2″ 230 pound Junior was a major problem for all Yellow Jacket opponents racking up 132 tackles, 9 tackles for loss (Including 2.5 sacks )and he forced a fumble.

Crouser excelled on the gridiron this season with double digit tackles in 9 games. What is truly amazing is that the junior gobbled up 17 tackles in the game against Urbana and two weeks later he gobbled up 16 tackles against Charleston (West Virginia). Not to mention he had 10 and 13 solo tackles respectively. The crazy thing is that over half of Dustins total tackles (132) were all by his lonesome (77).

In the 31-14 MEC Championship game loss to Notre Dame (Ohio) he garnered 10 tackles and a tackle for loss This Linebacker will be back for his Senior season in 2020 and its hard to imagine he can better his performance of at least 8 tackles per game average. The West Virginia native was most definitely a key factor in the Yellow Jackets finishing 2019 with 7 wins against 4 losses.
