ATLANTA, G.A. — Allen University quarterback Jamir Dismukes has been named the SIAC Newcomer of the Year, as announced by the league office Friday morning.

In his first season both at Allen and in the SIAC, Dismukes started and played in nine games for the Yellow Jackets. He completed 113-of-192 pass attempts for 1,832 passing yards and 19 touchdowns. Routinely utilizing his dual threat capability, Dismukes also carried the ball 106 times and gained 284 yards on the ground to pair with a team-best six rushing scores.

His efforts lead Allen to finish in top-five statistically in the SIAC with 26.4 points per game and 206.6 passing yards per game. Dismukes was one of five quarterbacks in the SIAC to average more than 200 passing yards per game as the Cleveland, Ohio native logged 204.6 per contest.

It took just one game into his Allen career before Dismukes added his name to the Yellow Jackets’ record book, as he completed 75% of his passes against Clark Atlanta on September 7 to set a new NCAA era (since 2021) single-game program record.

“We are very proud of Jamir for his hard work and dedication this season,” said Allen head football coach Cedric Pearl. “He is certainly deserving of this award, and we are excited to see him build off of this past season as we look ahead to our 2025 campaign.”

Dismukes is the first Allen football player to earn this award since the Yellow Jackets rejoined the SIAC in 2021.
