This season the Defensive Back from Tucker Georgia made his mark on the gridiron with six interceptions. Davanta hit the ground running with an interception in the second game of the season against Shaw. In the two weeks that followed he was a problem for Florida A&M with his pick six and a Fumble Recovery for a touchdown against South Carolina State.

Throughout the season Davanta was most likely on every offensive coordinators’ radar when it came to facing coach Jerry Macks Eagles. As a matter of fact the interception I referred to in the Shaw game started a streak of four consecutive games where Reynolds came up with a take away; Talk about being a headache for opposing offenses. Davanta finished the 2017 Eagles campaign with a total of 54 tackles (35 Solo), 2.5 tackles for loss,a forced fumble, a fumble recovery (which he returned 85 yards for a touchdown), one pass break up and a quarterback hurry. I’m quite sure North Carolina Centrals’ New Head coach Granville Eastman can’t wait to see what this All-American will do for the Eagles in the 2018 campaign.
They said he was too short and slow for Division I football.
Now he’s an All-American.https://t.co/8cOlYnnSR1 pic.twitter.com/nM5lSwvT7M
