  1. Paper Towns, John Green

John Green is a very popular writer who caught the attention of the public with his first novel released in 2005 called Looking for Alaska. Ever since then, he wrote several novels and short stories and won several awards too including the Michael L. Printz Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Paper Towns is a novel he wrote in 2008 and what is interesting is that last year this novel witnessed a movie adaptation. The story is unique and quite interesting and mixes reality with fiction. Basically, this is a story about teen love and friendship and the search of teens for themselves.

Unfortunately, Harper Lee died this year, but she left us a huge range of novels and books. She is best known for her book To Kill a Mockingbird released in 1960. However, last year she decided to publish another novel that was actually written before To Kill a Mockingbird and many people agree that Go Set a Watchman is a prequel to this book. This is a very controversial book related to the social and racial problems that happened in the Southern states in the 50s followed by a story about the bond that one ordinary girl have with her father.

If you want to use this summer for a sci-fi, mystery novel, then you can count on Neal Stephenson’s Seveneves. He has already written several novels like this, but it seems that this one is the best. The story was heard before – the world is at risk of collapse. However, what is unique is that a small number of people leave the Earth and travel in different parts of our galaxy. About 5 millennia later, the human race is separated into seven different and unique races and they want to come back on their home planet.

Inspired by real life situations, Eliza Kennedy has written a novel that focuses on the life of Lily Wilder, an ambitious attorney in New York and her preparation to settle and prepare herself for a marriage with her partner who she truly loves and respects.
