The Golden Tigers of Tuskegee shine finishing the 2022-23 basketball season as the Urban Media Today Women’s HBCU National Champions! Coach Trelanne Powell in her 5th year at the helm lead her Goldens to a 26 win and 4 loss season that included a 20-1 SIAC Conference finish and Tuskegee finished the season with a record of 21-1 against HBCU programs.
Coach Powells’ Golden Tigers join previous champions Virginia Union (2017-18/2018-19),Benedict (2019-20) and Jackson State 2021-22. There were no rankings in 2020-21 Due to the impact of the pandemic.
