Steelers Lead AFC North; Rams remain undefeated
The Pittsburgh Steelers earned 1st Place on their day off. Because of losses by the AFC North rivals Baltimore (4-3), Cincinnati (4-3) and Cleveland (2-4-1), the Steelers now lead the AFC North with a 3-2-1 while on their bye week. They will resume play next Sunday in a rematch against the Browns at Heinz Field.
The Bengals were destroyed by the KC Chiefs 45-10, the Chiefs are now 7-1. The Ravens fell to 5-1 New Orleans 24-23 on a rare extra point miss by Ravens K Justin Tucker. Also, in that game, QB Drew Brees became the 4th NFL QB to pass for 500 touchdowns joining Tom Brady, Brett Farve and Peyton Manning. And the Browns went to their 4th overtime this season, only to lose 26-23 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a 59-yard FG by K Chandler Catanzaro.
Meanwhile, The LA Rams are sitting as they are still the NFL’s only undefeated team (7-0) after beating San Francisco 30-10. DT Aaron Donald had a career-high 4 sacks for the Rams. In other NFL scores, the LA Chargers are 5-2 after beating Tennessee 20-19 in London. Carolina beat Philadelphia 21-17, Minnesota beat the NY Jets 37-17, Detroit beat Miami 32-21, New England beat Chicago 38-31, Indianapolis destroyed Buffalo 37-5, Houston beat Jacksonville 20-7, Washington beat Dallas 20-17 and Atlanta slipped past The New York Giants 23-20.
