Vick Announces 2026 Recruiting Class

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State head football coach Michael Vick announced his 2026 recruiting class on National Signing Day, bringing in talent across the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

“This 2026 class represents everything we’re building at Norfolk State: toughness, discipline, and a hunger to compete,” Vick said. “These young men believe in the vision, and we’re excited to develop them into leaders on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.”

Quali Price – Chesapeake, VA – WR – Oscar Smith High School
Helped the team claim the 6A State Championship … Garnered First-Team All-State honors at punt returner … Registered 40 catches for 653 yards with eight touchdowns during his senior season … While playing defensive back, he collected 14 tackles, six pass breakups, and three interceptions, including two pick sixes … Accumulated 580 yards and six touchdowns on punt returns, while also collecting 320 yards and one touchdown on kickoff returns.

Jaidyn Mattis – Aquasco, MD – DL – The St. James Academy

Reed Hobbs – Gainesville, VA – OL – Gainesville High School
Hobbs is a 6-6, 280-pound Offensive Tackle from Gainesville High School … Helped the offense average 210.8 passing yards per game and 215 rushing yards per game his senior season … Led his team to an 8-3 record in his junior season that included a trip to the playoffs.

Drean Wallace – Chesapeake, VA – OG,OL – Oscar Smith High School
Member of an offensive line that registered 5,657 total yards of offense … Helped the team claim two 6A State Championships … Was a two-time Second-Team All-Region offensive line selection … Named team captain … Allowed zero sacks his senior season … Participated in community service with his school, volunteering at elementary school field days.

Keontae Bumpers – Suffolk, VA – WR – Nansemond River High School
During his senior season at Nansemond River, Bumpers had over 40 receptions, for over 450 yards and five touchdowns … Keontae also had another 200 plus yards returning kicks and punts … During the 24-25 season he appeared in nine games at King’s Fork HS playing both sides of the ball … Bumpers rushed for 106 yards on 10 carries with a long of 68 yards while averaging 10.6 yards per carry and 11.8 yards per game … He had 20 receptions for 300 yards with three touchdown catches … Bumpers averaged 15.0 yards per catch and 33.3 receiving yards per game … Defensively he made one interception returning the pick for nine yards … He also participated on special teams on one kick off unit and three punt returns.

Jason Galloway – Virginia Beach, VA – ILB – Kempsville High School
Ranked in the top-12 of tacklers in the Tidewater region with 90 tackles including 35 tackles for a loss … He led the region in sacks accumulating 24 during his senior season, tied for fourth in the nation for sacks according to Max Preps … Also had four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one blocked punt for a safety.

Christian Henry – Virginia Beach, VA – DB – Salem High School
Ranked in the top 20 in the region with 77 tackles during the 2025 season, including 5 tackles for a loss.

Dayvion Martin – Chesapeake, VA – OL – Oscar Smith High School
Member of an offensive line that registered 5,657 total yards of offense … Helped the team claim two 6A State Championships … Was a two-time Second-Team All-Region offensive line selection … Allowed just four sacks his senior season … Participated in community service with his school, volunteering at elementary school field days … Will graduate with a 3.5 GPA, receiving Cum Laude honors.

Jariah Myles – Baltimore, MD – LB – St. Frances Academy
Posted 105 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery his senior season … Helped his team allow less than seven points per game and posted five shutouts throughout the season.

Jaylen Hillman – Mills Creek, GA – OL – Mill Creek High School
Two-year starter on the offensive line … Selected to the All-Region team in 2025, making four trips to the state playoffs … Helped lead his team to the regional finals in 2025.

Kayden Hillman – Mills Creek, GA – OL – Mill Creek High School
Helped lead his team to the playoffs all four years of high school, including a trip to the region championship game in 2025 … Played defensive line his junior season.

DaSean Golmond – Denham Springs, LA – WR – Denham Springs High School
Posted 50 receptions for 934 yards and 13 touchdowns his senior season … Named First Team All-state, First Team All-District, and First Team All-Parish … Holds the school record for the most receiving touchdowns in school history and single season … Named Red Stick All-Star Game Best wide receiver.

DaJean Golmond – Denham Springs, LA – QB – Denham Springs High School
Collected The Advocate’s Player of the Year honors after winning the fan vote … A senior quarterback for Denham Springs High School … Threw for 2,544 yards and 32 touchdowns during the season … Broke the DSHS single-season school record for touchdown passes … Added 477 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns … Named Red Stick Bowl Most Valuable Player.

Christian James – Clarksville, Tenn. – QB/WR – Kenwood High School
Recorded 703 passing yards and eight touchdowns as a quarterback his senior year … Also tallied 809 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground his senior year … Voted best quarterback in the region and named team MVP … Tallied 315 receiving yards and one rushing touchdown his junior year … Recorded 24 tackles and three interceptions defensively his junior year.

Darion Spence – Virginia Beach, VA – SAF – Green Run High School

Kameron Casnave – Covington, LA – RB – Northlake Christian HS
Totaled 1,738 yards and 27 touchdowns on 162 carries his senior year … Also averaged 8.2 yards per carry during his senior campaign … Totaled nearly 5,500 yards during his high school career, while finishing with 91 total touchdowns … Named All-District 9-2A running back and offensive MVP.

Malachi White – Chesapeake, VA – LB – Oscar Smith High School
Helped the team claim two 6A State Championships … Was a two-time First-Team All-State linebacker selection … First-Team All-Tidewater linebacker … Named second-team defensive player of the year … Was named team captain … Totaled 262 tackles with 10 sacks, seven interceptions, 66 tackles for a loss, seven pass breakups and five forced fumbles during his varsity career … Ranked third in the region during the 2025 season with 118 tackles including 31 tackles for a loss … Participated in community service with his school volunteering at elementary school field days.

Zachary Johnson – Fredericksburg, VA – CB – Riverdale Baptist School
Named to the Maryland All-State First team as a cornerback … Had 30 tackles, 11 pass breakups, three tackles for loss, and two interceptions during his senior year … Did not allow a touchdown during the season … Will graduate with a 3.5 GPA.

Jayden Whitaker – Nashville, NC – DT – Nash Central High School
Two-time all-conference selection … Earned a 3.7 GPA during his high school career.

Jacoby Marshall – Norfolk, VA – FS – Maury High School

Braeden Snavely – Fredericksburg, VA – DT – The St. James Academy
Named All-Region on the defensive line … Recorded 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one pass deflection his senior season.
