TAMPA, FL, March 18, 2022- It was hot and humid at USF Softball complex. There was some wind as well. Corrick and the Bulls, try to get back on the winning streak after their loss to Purdue yesterday.
Georgina Corrick (#22) is an outstanding pitcher night in night out. She commands the ball and puts it where the catcher puts their glove. Friday she faced 27 of Lehigh’s batters and had 13 strikeouts, one base on balls, only giving up 5 hits. Georgina is 19-1 overall this season with an ERA of 0.11.
The hurler proved that she could do more than just pitch. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Corrick decided to take things into her own hands and help her own cause. She blasted the eventual game winner and go ahead run. The Bulls added an insurance run from Madison Epperson (#9) who crushed a single past Lehigh’s shortstop (Barjaktarovi). This scored Right fielder Alexis Johns making it 2-0.
The Bulls continue to dominate the season series against Lehigh University. The Bulls last loss to Lehigh was March of 2009. The stamped continues as the Bulls continue to dominate opposing hitters. USF, plays Purdue tomorrow March 19th at 1130am, come on out and support Bulls softball.
