Norfolk State Head Coach Vincent Dancy had to be excited knowing that Tracy Thompkins was back in his secondary again this past season. The senior racked up a total of 107 tackles, 1 interception and 3 pass break ups. Number 1 also forced 3 fumbles, recovered 2 and tallied 26 yards in returns after his interception.

The young gladiator from Miami had 68 solo tackles this past season and played his best game in the 23-20 Overtime Loss to Lamar. Thompkins had 15 total tackles in that battle and more impressive was the fact that 13 of those tackles were solo.

Thompkins also had 6 games with double digit tackles in his senior season , not to mention he had 7 games with at least 5 solo tackles. He shared sacks in two games and forced and recovered a fumble in the Delta Devils Loss to eventual SWAC Champs Alcorn State.
