Tuskegee’s  Osband Thompson:  (2017 TAJT-10 Defensive Player of the Year)

#5  Senior Linebacker
6’0″  205lbs
Miami, Florida
(Miami Jackson High School)

#1  Nationally  in HBCU Football in total Tackles  (131)
#1  Nationally in HBCU Football Tackles pergame(11.9)

This past season OJ finished with 131 tackles,6.5 Tackles for loss, four interceptions, four quarterback hurries and a number of forced fumbles and recovered fumbles. All of that meant that this young man was a problem for opposing offenses all season long. Thompson  finished with at least 10 tackles in 8 games this season as he helped the Golden Tigers garner another Southern Intercollegiat Athletic Conference championship. The only dissappointment the SIAC defensive player of the year experienced this season was the Goldens not making it into the NCAA Division two playoffs despite winning the conference title and 9 win and 2 loss record. Below are just a few of the accolades garnered by “MyTimetoball” as he is known on Twitter.
