Norfolk State Head Coach Latrell Scott had to be excited knowing that Nhyre Quinerly was back in his secondary again this past season. As a matter of fact Nhyre was a mainstay in the spartans secondary starting in 34 games in his career with the Spartans. This past season the red-shirt senior racked up a total of 103 tackles, 3 interceptions 5 pass break ups and a total of 8 passes defended. Number 22 also forced a fumble and tallied 79 yards in returns after his interceptions.
Seniors Nhyre Quinerly and Gerald Hulett join coach Latrell Scott to talk about the 20-17 loss against S.C. State in the last game of the season. Good luck to the seniors on the @NSU_FB team to their future endeavors. https://t.co/tP500UdgMl

The young gladiator paying in his hometown had a team high 47 solo tackles this past season and played his best game in the 48-0 win over Morgan State. When the Spartans suited up against the Bears Nhyre was ready wrapping up the game with a interception that he returned 48 yards to the house.
