Howard’s Hutton Takes Home MEAC Rookie of the Week
Texas native recognized for her performances against Lady Bears
NORFOLK, Va. (January 5, 2021) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its women’s basketball weekly honors where Howard University freshman forward Anzhane’ Hutton (Cedar Hill, Texas) took home her second Rookie of the Week award for her performances at Morgan State (MSU). The announcement came Tuesday afternoon.

On the season, Hutton ranks among the league leaders in multiple categories: scoring (12.4 ppg/10th); rebounding (9.0 rpg/1st) and field goal percentage (54-percent/2nd).
Coppin State junior Aliyah Lawson and North Carolina A&T State (NCAT) senior Deja Winters were selected MEAC Co-Players of the Week. NCAT freshman D’Mya Tucker was named Defensive Player of the Week.
