Pittsburgh, PA–Pittsburgh native and award-winning artist Curtis E. Cureton has had two of his patented, custom wood portraits selected for International Online Exhibitions.
His piece “Basket of Joy” will be featured in the PET ART 2026 online exhibition held from February 12-April 12, 2026. “Journey of Love” will be featured in the LOVE 2026 online exhibition held from February 14-April 14, 2026.
Mr. Cureton has been featured in countless art shows over the years and has been honored by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for Outstanding Achievements in the Arts.
In 2024, Curtis launched his Custom Wood Pet Portraits website. In addition to custom pet portraits, the website also features seasonal items including Valentine’s heart-shaped shadow box portraits, and apparel with that can be printed with your pet’s custom portrait.
Curtis has had a lifelong passion for art and animals, from drawing animals in elementary school to countless visits to the Pittsburgh Zoo. Curtis was always inspired by the beauty and character of the animal world. His patent pending wood technique brings pets to life in a way that goes beyond traditional portraits.
