The world prepares to say goodbye to another national staple, Arizona Senator, John McCain was better known as “The Maverick”, passed away last week with his family by his side at his family home in Arizona.
Just days before he died, his family issued a statement that McCain will no longer continue treatment for his brain cancer.
McCain, a war hero, is survived by his wife Cindy and 5 children. He was 81.

Flags flew at half-staff at the White House on Sunday. Trump has tweeted his “deepest sympathies and respect” to McCain’s family, although he added no words of praise for McCain himself
All five living former presidents – Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter – paid tribute to McCain’s courage and character.
