McCain playing at the Defensive Back position finished the 2017 season with 14 total passes defended; including 8 pass break ups and 6 interceptions. Yes, I did say six interceptions and what is more impressive is that he returned half of those to the house for touchdowns.

So , ” The Return of the Mac” TDs were instrumental in the aggies Mission to achieve perfection this past season.McCain and his teammates were perfect on the field this season winning the Black College National Championship with a perfect 12-0 record. The 5’11” 174 pounder made his presence known to his opponents early in the season illustrating exceptional anticipation and cat like quickness while defending his opponents receivers.

The Greensboro native snagged two interceptions in the aggies win over North Carolina-Charlotte returning one to the end zone for a touchdown, he racked up 96 yards in return yardage. The Mac followed that game with a three interception performance against Morgan State and going to the house for two more TDs. In the game against the bears he also rang up 178 yards on INT returns. This young man has made history in the MEAC with his INT performances and in the number of return yards.
Franklin “Mac” McCain III comes from a family that is not unfamiliar with making history. His grandfather is one of the “Greensboro Four”.
