North Carolina A&T is the Urban Media Today Black College National Champions.

The North Carolina A&T Aggies are the 2017 Black College National Champions  and finished number one on the Urban Media Today Innaugural Black College Football Poll. This season the  Aggies became the first Mid-Eastern Athletic conference team to finish a season unbemished and Coach Rod Broadways’ Blue and Gold used the motto “Pursuing  Excellence ” all season long. A&T  kicked off their pursuit knocking off  non-conference opponents  Gardner-Webb, Mars Hill and UNC-Charlotte. The Aggies then went through MEAC conference play with out a loss  and put the finishing touches on the year with a 21-14 victory over non-conference opponent and SWAC champion Grambling State in the third annual Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl. This was the second time the school from Greensboro, North Carolina won the Celebration Bowl, A&T was victorious in the inaugural bowl game two years ago. North Carolina A&T had been ranked second on our poll all season long behind defending champion Grambling State, but made the move to number one when it counted most at the end of the season.
