PITTSBURGH – The Steelers are slated to appear in four primetime regular-season games in 2023, it was announced tonight when the NFL unveiled its schedule. Pittsburgh opens the season at Acrisure Stadium for the first time since 2014 – snapping a streak of eight consecutive season openers on the road. The Steelers play host to San Francisco at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 10 (FOX).

Pittsburgh extends its streak to 19 consecutive years with at least one Monday Night Football game when they play host to Cleveland in Week 2 at 8:15 p.m. ET on Sept. 18 (ABC). Since MNF debuted in 1970, the Steelers have played in 77 contests and hold a 52-25 record. Pittsburgh’s 52 victories and .675 winning percentage on MNF are best in the NFL. The Steelers have won 20 consecutive home games on Monday Night Football.

Pittsburgh will twice be featured as part of Thursday Night Football. The Steelers play host to both Tennessee in Week 9 at 8:15 p.m. ET on Nov. 2 and New England in Week 14 at 8:15 p.m. ET on Dec. 7 (both on Prime Video). Pittsburgh also appears on Sunday Night Football (NBC). The Steelers travel to Las Vegas in Week 3 at 8:20 p.m. ET on

Sept. 24. Pittsburgh’s home meeting with Cincinnati in Week 16 at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sat., Dec. 23, will also air nationally on NBC. The Steelers’ bye week will be Oct. 15(Week 6).

This season, “flexible scheduling” for Sunday Night Football may be used up to twice between Weeks 5-10, and in the NFL’s discretion during Weeks 11-17; and for Monday Night Football in the NFL’s discretion in Weeks 12-17. During the Flex Scheduling Windows, the games initially scheduled for Sunday Night Football (on NBC) and Monday Night Football (on ESPN or ABC) are tentatively scheduled and subject to change. Only Sunday afternoon games (or those listed as TBD) are eligible to be moved to Sunday night or Monday night, in which case the initially scheduled Sunday/Monday night game would be moved to Sunday afternoon.

Sunday afternoon games may also be moved between 1 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. or 4:25 p.m. ET. As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and the Sunday night games is not assigned. In Week 18, two games will be played on Saturday (4:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. ET), with the remainder to be played on  Sunday afternoon (1 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. ET) and one matchup to be played on Sunday night (8:20 p.m.ET). Specific dates, start times, and networks for Week 18 matchups will be determined and announced following the conclusion of Week 17.
