Game #4 – No. 3 Voorhees College 90, No. 6 Northern New Mexico College 81
Voorhees College used a 15-8 run over the first four minutes of the second half in defeating No. 6-seed Northern New Mexico College 90-81. The nine-point spread was the largest margin of victory from Friday’s quarterfinal action.
A 3-point field goal by Javari Albergottie gave No. 3-seed Voorhees its largest lead of the second half 71-55 with 10:08 remaining.
Northern New Mexico attempted a rally behind a 15-5 run over a seven-minute stretch of the second half, trimming the deficit to 76-70 following a basket by Naquwan Solomon. His 22 points led five double-figure scorers on the team.
Denzel Famble scored 28 points, including making 12 of 14 free throws. Alex Brooks and Albergottie each added 15 points for Voorhees.
