Steelers Re-sign CB Haden; Roster Cuts Announced

[Pittsburgh,Pa] The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they have come to terms with veteran Cornerback Joe Haden on a 2-year contract extension worth $22 million. He also gets a $16.8 million signing bonus.

Haden has helped stabilize the Steelers cornerback position ever since he signed with them in 2017 after getting released by the Cleveland Browns, the team that drafted him back in 2010. He is a 2-time Pro Bowler with 22 career interceptions. With the Steelers, he intercepted one pass in 2017 and 2 in 2018, including one huge on off Quarterback Tom Brady when the Steelers defeated the New England Patriots last season.

The Steelers made it known that re-signing Haden was a top priority and he made it known that he wanted to spend the rest of his career in Pittsburgh. Both sides got their wishes fulfilled on Sunday.
