This past season while toting the rock for coach Fred McNairs’ Alcorn State Braves during ASU’s 7 win and 5 loss season, Turner rushed for 1357 yards while playing in all 12 games. De’Lance averaged 113.08 yards per game and the senior had a season high 272 yards in the 48-31 win over Southern while carrying the ball 21 times. Turner would carry the ball a season high 22 times in the 24-10 win over Alabama State two weeks later. The Mississippi native finished his career at Alcorn State as the fifth leading rusher all time in school history and he nabbed SWAC All-Conference honors. Turner also participated in this years “Spirit of America “HBCU All-Star game and walked away as the Offensive MVP.
