NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State women’s basketball player Diamond Johnson earned HBCU+ National Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.5 steals per game this past week. In the win against Radford, Johnson posted 22 points and five steals, while shooting a career high 8-for-8 at the free throw line.
The Spartans will play three games this week, beginning on Nov. 28 against Washington State, Nov. 29 against Wyoming, and Nov. 30 against Green Bay at the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
