Howard Football’s Ezzard Named to the 2019 HERO Sports Preseason All-American Team
Senior wideout recognized among the nation’s best
BELLEVUE, Wash. – After a stellar junior campaign, Howard University’s senior wideout Jequez Ezzard (College Park, Ga.) was named to the 2019 HERO Sports Preseason All-American Second Team.

Last season, the Georgia native gave defensive coordinator’s nightmares as he torched several secondaries throughout the year while leading the country in yards per reception (26.6). Ezzard finished his junior year racking up 1,064 receiving yards on 40 catches with 12 TDs and set a new school record for receiving yards in a game (223) at Ohio.

Additionally, he earned several postseason honors, including 2018 All-MEAC First Team and BOXTOROW All-America honors.
James Madison is HERO Sports’ projected No. 1 in the preseason poll while North Dakota State, reigning FCS National Champions, is picked No. 2.
