Hours later, ABC canceled her show.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC’s entertainment president, Channing Dungey, said in a statement.

The news hit this morning that caused havoc on twitter when comedian Roseanne Barr made a racist comment about former President Barack Obama and one of his senior advisors.
The tweet has since been deleted and Barr issued an apology along with a message that she will be soon leaving Twitter.
As the saying goes “too little, too late” because that was enough for consulting producer, Wanda Sykes to announce her departure from the show.
USA Today is reporting:
The actress made a racially-charged comment Tuesday, which has now been deleted, in response to a tweet that accused (Valerie) Jarrett of helping “hide” misdeeds for the Obama administration.
“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” Barr wrote, using Jarrett’s initials.
Jarrett, 61, is African American and worked for Obama from 2009 to 2017.
Hours later, Barr apologized for the tweet, describing it as “a bad joke.”
As a fan of the show, I’m disappointed in the decision Ms. Barr made, thinking this would get a chuckle from fans. When you don’t consider how far your humor or opinion will take you and/or your career (for this matter), realize that could be the last time anyone hears from you again (except our commander and chief, because clearly…) Funny how this happened AFTER the Muslim neighbor episode! In the episode, Roseanne (the character) had a heart and set aside her racist ways to help her neighbor who is also a Muslim. Click the link and check it out.
