Breaking: Jay Z Named President of PUMA Basketball Operations

It was just released that Jay Z, currently on tour with his wife Beyonce, who also recently dropped their newest joint album “Everything Is Love” (now available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal). Jigga also welcomed the idea of providing families with affordable LIFE insurance (not health or car insurance…LIFE INSURANCE). Mr. Carter has teamed up with actor Will Smith and basketball star Kevin Durant to create Ethos, an affordable life insurance program for everyone and anyone who can afford to DIE! (I didn’t know how else to put that one)

Jay Z had some extra time on his hands because Complex Magazine is reporting the hip-hop mogul just signed on as President for Puma’s Basketball Operations! Yup!

Here’s the story:

Hov will have a hand in the players selected to join Puma’s basketball division, as well as assist in the art design and overall concept and direction of the brand. “What’s important to him on a day like today is that it’s clear we’re making a serious push with players like Bagley and Ayton and Smith. We’re making a serious statement about the entry of the category, that we want to be a performance brand, but then also very culturally focused. It’s clear that we’re looking at basketball through the lens of culture, and thinking about the fashion of basketball, the music of basketball, all the aspects of culture around basketball as much as the on-court presence that we will have,” Petrick added.
