Benedict’s Green Selected To HBCU All-Stars International Tour

ATLANTA – Clark Atlanta’s Chris Martin, Morehouse alum Kerry Richardson and Benedict alum Tajh Green celebrate their selections to the HBCU All-Stars International Tour. The trio will participate in the historic Quai 54 World Streetball Championship June 22-23, in Paris, France. Quai 54, the world’s largest streetball tournament, will feature 16 men’s teams from 10 nations, showcasing top professional and amateur players in 15 high-level contests.

Martin is returning in the HBCU All-Star lineup following his inaugural 2024 All-Star game appearance, where he secured the Earl “the Pearl” Monroe Division II National Player of the Year title as a member of Team Mahorn.

The Charlotte native’s 2023-24 season performances helped the Panthers to their sixth SIAC Men’s Basketball Championship title, earning him All-SIAC and Player of the Year honors and numerous postseason accolades.

Richardson joins the tour, following his recent invitation to the 2024 BIG3 Combine and draft. He made his HBCU All-Stars debut in 2023, helping Team Barnett to a 113-99 win over Team Reed.

The Morehouse alumnus steered the Maroon Tigers to an 18-game winning streak in 2022 and consecutive SIAC East Division regular season titles his junior and senior seasons. In his final collegiate game, Richardson scored a career-high 32 points and 14 rebounds, earning Second Team All-SIAC honors.

Green joins the tour from across the pond following a successful 2023-24 season with the Serios Group Newcastle Eagles in England.

Green made his HBCU All-Stars debut in 2022 as a member of Team McLendon, where he helped the team to a 79-75 victory over Team Gaines, winning the HBCU All-Star MVP title.

The 2022 SIAC Player of the Year posted a 46 percent shooting average from the field and 72 percent from the free-throw line his senior year, aiding Benedict to a second-place finish in the SIAC East Division (21-6, 14-3 SIAC).

Martin, Richardson and Green complete a 10-man roster of elite playmakers, drawing talents from the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, and independent teams.
