The Alan and Mary Jo Lincoln Scholarship program, presented by Riverside Sales Group, awarded its 2020 scholarship to Ms. Kailen Whitfield. Ms. Whitfield graduated with a 4.1 GPA from Southeast Guilford High School in North Carolina and recently began her freshman year at North Carolina A&T State University. Ms. Whitfield received an award of $1000 to support her studies.

Applicants for the scholarship are graduating African American high school seniors who plan to attend college or trade school full time. Applicants must have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA and have participated in school and community activities. Ms. Whitfield held a part-time job while also participating in a variety of extracurricular activities including volunteer work and founding a diversity club. She plans to pursue a PhD in Psychology and start her own practice.
