(Sr, OL – Duluth, GA)Boone led an offensive line that helped Chowan produce 597 yards of total offense, including 376 rushing yards (8.2 yards per carry). Boone and the Hawks offense averaged 8.5 yards per play and put up 49 points in their homecoming win over Elizabeth City State.

#16 Ja’rome Johnson, Bowie State
Johnson continued his impressive season, completing 23 of 28 passes (82 percent) for a career-high 395 yards and five touchdowns. The junior signal-caller also had seven carries for 56 yards (8.0 yards per carry) in helping lead #15 Bowie State to a 52-17 win over #25 Virginia Union. This is his third weekly honor of the season.

#11 Dajuan Greene, Elizabeth City State
Greene earns his second straight weekly honor after totaling 13 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns against Chowan. The senior from Washington, DC recorded his third consecutive game with 100+ receiving yards and currently leads the CIAA in both receptions and receiving touchdowns.

#4 DeShaun Wethington, Chowan
Wethington ran for an impressive 297 yards on 28 carries, averaging 10.6 yards per carry, and three touchdowns. The sophomore also caught two passes for 21 yards in Chowan’s 49-41 win over Elizabeth City State.

#26 Demetri Morsell, Bowie State
Morsell totaled five solo tackles and a pass breakup for the Bowie State defense. The Upper Marlboro, MD native also picked off two passes, including one that he returned 92 yards for a touchdown. He currently leads the CIAA with six interceptions on the season.

#6 Durrell Nash, Saint Augustine’s
Nash recorded six total tackles and two interceptions, including one near the goal line that stopped a potential scoring drive, in the Falcons 23-21 upset win over division leader Fayetteville State.

#41 Dast Sturkie, Shaw
Sturkie had a big day for the Bears defense with seven tackles, including five solos, and a sack. The junior also recorded 4.5 tackles for loss and anchored a defensive front that gave up just 67 yards rushing in Shaw’s 36-19 win over Johnson C. Smith.

#40 Andre Labat, Saint Augustine’s
Labat went 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, including a game-winning 26-yarder with five seconds remaining in the Falcons 23-21 upset win over Fayetteville State. The Miami, FL native also hit field goals from 39 and 29 yards.

Gilliard completed 17 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 17 yards. He led a 6-play, 66-yard drive with 53 seconds remaining that resulted in a game-winning field goal, helping the Falcons to a 23-21 upset win over Fayetteville State.
